Do you think the Socratic Method of Teaching is overrated?

Why do you need to memorize information when you can Google? What you need to know is what it means, and what to do with it when you find it. Unfortunately, with standardized testing, there is too much emphasis on memorizing data. That is not what you are going to need in the future. You'll have a computer chip permanently embedded in your head that will allow you to access any info you need any time you want, just as you can know on the computer. Learn to think and analyze- that's what will make you successful.
